It’s anonymous so I doubt your theory.

Maybe just maybe, people don’t hold the same beliefs or ideas that you or your friends do.

Don’t be so self absorbed to think you’re right and other people are wrong.

Pollsters lie, doesn't matter if it is slanted Dem or Rep.

The Wash Post wants a left leaning poll so the pollsters will give that to them.

All they have to do is throw out responses they don't like until the numbers they are seeking appear.

Well only liberals read that slop and they are nothing more than goose stepping COVID bots for the political class and MSM... those numbers should not surprise you but it does not represent the majority of sane Americans.

It is coming to an end, people just need to chill out. The country will be fully open by the end of May, mid June at the latest.

Hogwash

Every single person in CA is saying the same thing: the amount of cars on the road, people outside, people at beach, etc has surged dramatically. It’s the same story everywhere

My guess is that people don’t want to tell a pollster they support reopenings because they are scared to be labeled irresponsible

I'm calling BS. The roads here in Kentucky are much more crowded now. Gas prices have gone up too, which is good news.

You should probably take your own advice. Especially considering the WaPo has a rather long history of selective polling (both in respondents and polling questions) to support the narrative they're currently pushing.

Have you ever listened to a pollsters questions? They don’t ask you a straight up question. They frame their questions in some complicated way that you can’t give them any answer except the one that they want. It’s almost like their questions are designed by someone biased.

The term is "push polling". Nothing scientific about it.

You don't even have to be complicated in your framing. I had an entire polisci graduate class on manipulating polls. The idea was to be able to identify how people can manipulate polls, but it really was just a how-to manual for political scientists.

I simply cannot believe that poll- but if somehow proven to be true, then Americans are even more stupid than I thought, and that's pretty bad...

Keep in mind:

1. Who knows how the question was worded or presented, they can make these polls say anything by purposefully (or even subconsciously) adding biases to it

2. Did they call all over America or just people in select cities, affluent neighborhoods, etc.

3. People are so pumped full of fear over this and that it will kill them all they may have answered this was truthfully. This is plastered all over the news 24/7 but no one is out there giving true numbers, or telling people that we have no idea how many people have been infected but it’s guaranteed to be an order of magnitude more than how many have been confirmed to be positive via tests since we don’t test the entire nation. Given this the death rate is guaranteed to be far, far lower than it actually is. More than likely a small fraction of a percent.

4. Most people aren’t aware half the deaths occurred in nursing homes or than 85% of deaths are those aged 70 or greater. The news certainly doesn’t cover this,

I don't believe any such poll. That's pure nonsense.
