These people are welcome to choose not to go outside.

But until there is evidence that hospitals are being overwhelmed, open up country.

Convenient. Just like the likely questions and demographics used in this poll.

Let's round up all the people who voted to stay closed. Quarantine the mfers together in a small building for the next six months and let the rest of us go about our business

And the nations's obsession with barber shops and getting their hard did continues.

I know the OT is full of math scholars and all, but you know if something has a 98% chance of happening and it doesn't, it doesn't make the numbers wrong? It didn't say 100%. There was still a 2% chance of the other thing happening, not 0%

I have worked extensively in modelling and simulation and if I make a projection that something is 98% likely to happen and it doesn't; it is an extremely fair next step to think is that the model was wrong or the input data was flawed in some way.

Of course it may turn out to have just been a crazy aberration, but let's not pretend like this model of theirs is some infallible source.

As does your penchant for being willfully obtuse.

Not sure what the sample size was , but it was likely small. And may have been in downtown NYC or San Fran. It does not represent all “Americans” who want this.

If we go past May 15 without me able to get a legal haircut, I'm just buzzcutting mine.

I didn't say that. I just said that the unlikely thing happening doesn't automatically mean the data or model was wrong.

Sometimes things/people beat the odds even when their odds are bad.

Or 30% of people are the ones you see out and about.

Most people are concerned about opening up too quickly, and with good reason.

Nah, that's motivated reasoning. Simpler explanation is that public opinion doesn't align with your own personal views on the matter. Sorry.

bullshite. Every chick I know and work with would kill their own mother to find a hairdresser that is open right now. And a nail salon.

"I agree with the Wapo poll so the poll is obviously a completely accurate representation of public opinion across the nation."
