ATLANTA (Gray News) - D’Shawn Garrison is just 17 years old, but the Atlanta Police Department said he has more than a dozen arrests. Right now, he’s in the Fulton County Jail awaiting trial on a rape charge. But despite a lengthy criminal record, Judge Rachel Krause reinstated his bond in November.

It was just a vicious attack, and I think he would’ve killed me, eventually. I probably had a few more minutes left in me,” the mother of two told WSB. “I kind of feel like maybe I’ve done my part and everybody else needs to do theirs now."
Police said Garrison attacked her in broad daylight as she jogged through a neighborhood in May. At that time, he was out on bond for a theft case.
“He was wearing an ankle monitor when he attacked me. I don’t know how many crimes this kid has to commit before they actually keep him in jail,” the accuser said.
A lot of good the ankle monitor did.

Trudy White must stay busy travelling back and forth between Baton Rouge and Atlanta.

At what point do we allow victims of these animals to sue the judges who keep letting them out?

He's a good boy.
Lock him up and throw away the key and make his family pay his incarceration bill until he dies in a cell alone.

A lot of people don’t understand the concepts of bond and pre trial detention. Including some judges apparently. It’s actually a very simple concept. Everyone is entitled to be free pending trial, without a bond as a matter of fact, and the bond is only a tool to guarantee that they show up for hearings and trial. There are only two exceptions for pre trial release. Flight - the court has reason to believe the offender won’t show up and bond isn’t sufficient to ensure that they will show. Danger to the community - the offender has done something or their history indicates that they are a danger to the community if allowed to go free pending trial.
This kid clearly fits into the second category and it is hard to see how a judge didn’t grasp that. I have talked on here before about the George Soros backed Progressive ideology of Restorative Justice. One of the tenets of this philosophy is elimination of bond and automatic pre trial release. Not a bad concept when logically applied but as a blanket concept you get results like this.

This judge was just applying restorative justice

Possibly the judge considered the young man’s potential contribution to the fight against Cancer as outweighing his Danger to society.
After all, he is a good boy.

You are correct. It’s Restorative Justice. I misspoke as I hadn’t had my coffee yet.
To be blunt, it’s politics. These dumb asses are so blinded by their ideology that they literally can’t see past it to realize this kid is going to rape and murder until they lock him up. Their one and only concern is getting back at the white man for real and perceived past injustices.
Progressive race based ideologists are so busy looking at the past that they can’t look forward. I am lending credence to those folks who argue it’s a mental disease.

Just saving the taxpayers money by letting him out must have been her thought process

I would never wish a rape on anyone, that judge though is as close as I will come.
I bet she would rule differently is she had that experience.

I would just find him on the outside and handle justice on my own since the courts are not willing.
