New community being built just north of the casino on River Road.
Anyone been out there? Thoughts?

Seems VERY nice. Said to eventually have three pools, a chapel, motel for guests, community gardens, etc.

Its nice. I dont like the setup of some of the houses though.

You walk in the front door and you are in the kitchen and living room. I like having a foyer

Yeah and I think that’s the appeal to a lot of people. You do zero work and get a small yard and three pools.

Looks like it could be a nice area when done.

This sounds like it will be directly across the street from Gardere. I wonder what the plans are to keep the day time burglars from wandering over.

A lot of the area near the levee and river turns into a giant mud hole every time the river gets high. I don’t think I’d want to have to deal with that pretty much every year.

Hopefully the levee fails and wipes it all out.

Way too close to Gardere. Will suck when the River rises every spring. I’m surprised UC and the surrounding hoods haven’t been victimized more by the dregs surrounding them.

You’re surprised that a community with a political powerhouse of an HOA isn’t being victimized?

Is this real life? You people bitch and moan about HOA’s until you need them to protect your crap laying around your house while you’re out fishing, or watching travel ball. fricking pathetic.

I think it’s closer to Dow than some folks realize.
