My late husband read the OT religiously, but I seldom glanced at it. I was more a Fark Board lurker (the Rueben Randle stone-faced thread my all time fave. I don’t even know why. )
After my DH died I started reading the OT, I guess for some sort of link to him. Time for me to jump in and post. Not totally without ulterior motives…i sometimes may seek advice since there is a cross section of professions and trades represented, and I am on my own. I just had car trouble, and , once again, dealer 100% lied to me.
Eitek my hero for getting the motorcycle ("I’m going to Mississippi with a trailer and coming back with a motorcycle", and, dammit, he did.)
Antiquetiger’s junking interesting, I hope someday he makes the Ultimate Score. He does well, but the million dollar item is out there.
F33’s poems cool or annoying, depending on my mood.
TulaneLSU’s top tens and reviews are, well, unique…and a spot on a tulaneLSU personally guided tour would be the only thing tempting me back to NOLA.

You all can be noble or frickheads, but are oddly touching in coming together to encourage or help others. Searching for the escaped-dog-from car wreck in dump-murder-victim territory was scary. Campaigning to get the dude in China home at beginning of Covid highlighted the long reach of the board. Finding the poster’s addict brother on Soft White Underbelly was unbelievable.(I wonder how that’s going?). Then, there was PawBaw…what can I say?
I could go on and on, but you hate long posts, right?
