Hefner is a perfect example of the hypocrisy of progressives and feminists. They always complained about how "Puritan" American society was and we needed to be more sex positive in its outlook. Hefner was a huge free speech advocate and was nothing if not sexually open. He also celebrated women and femininity.
Yet, when all was said and done, it didn't matter. He was merely a white male. In the totalitarian progressive view that meant any and every action or interaction he had with women was exploitative, if not outright assault.
The Democratic Party is puritanical when it comes to heterosexual relations and libertine towards homosexual or other alternative lifestyles.
