This should be just the shot in the arm that Baton Rouge needs. I'll go ahead and contact my real estate agent about moving back. Gotta get some of this sweet Plank Road housing before it's all gone.

I wonder how much this is going to cost the taxpayers? There's still going to be crack heads, hookers and murders all around there.

"While still in its developmental stages, officials repeatedly turned to the public for input regarding the plan."

In other words, We will need to throw more money at studies and collaborations and open dialogue.

But a murder at a PF Changs's or Top Golf and crackheads smoking at Fresh Market and hookers at the new Waldorf Astoria will be an improvement.

Just have the hipsters move in. Gentrification will save the hood.

Is this going to deal with the zoo renovations or is that a separate deal

Not necessarily phase one.

Probably a separate deal, as the zoo isn’t on Plank but about a half mile off of it.

From WBRZ
quote:

A large factor in the implementation of the plan was to ensure that as other areas of the capital city were being updated, North Baton Rouge received the same amount of attention.

Any of you folks get asked for input? I must’ve missed my call.

I dislike and disagree with the SWB administration as much as the next guy, and am building my animosity level toward where with her hostility towards St. George, but we all agree that North BR is in dire straits and needs significant improvement.

Why are we all shitting on this improvement? Because it’s a local government project as opposed to a private one? Because it’s SWB’s idea? Because it’s in NBR?

I’m just curious why we are clapping on local government trying to improve local communities.

Ok yeah I get the cynicism, especially because I’ve never even seen where my input has been asked for
