A few pages back, I posted a photo of a kamikaze dent in the hull of a ship.
Real, fake, I don't know.
I enjoy the fat electrician videos on youtube.
One of the few videos where I laughed.

At 37 miles away I would bet he'd need nothing more than a damp towel to wipe off any "dust" that finds him.

Considering that many, many miles away in Ashland, Kentucky over the next 48 hours we found enough of that volcanic dust on our cars parked outside to be noticeable and to significantly scratch the paint when washed off, I would hazard to say that it'd take a little bit more than a wash cloth for anyone within a 37-mile range to wipe off that dust.

This picture reminds me of when mom took us to Sears to buy a new TV in the 70s. She was so proud because we now had a TV with a whopping 20” screen and a remote “clicker”, and it was even in color. Looked about like this…
Of course cabal was not an option since we didn’t live in town. We had one of these TV antennas outside instead…
We could pick up ABC, NBC, and PBS with the antenna turned one way, and CBS if we turned it another, but CBS never came in all that well.

The Sunshine Bridge under construction in the early 1960s.
The bridge crosses the Mississippi River in St. James Parish, near Ascension Parish.
At the time of its construction, it was the only bridge crossing the river from Baton Rouge to New Orleans.

I watched a MANY of Cubs games on a TV like that in the late 80s/90s at my Grannys house. I miss those times.
