Gonna have to push it back over on the house for the insurer to pay anything for the removal.
if you fight them hard enough, they may pay for it depending on who you're insured with.

I recall a maple tree around me that was on the edge of a pond. The wind would blow it over from time to time, and we would just set it back upright.
Last I recall it was about 15 feet tall

Just make sure to ratchet strap it down into place. Should be fine.

I haven't read this whole thread, but not buying the story...

I was expecting to see a basketball goal.

It's going to be some shite when the original thread gets subpoenaed for the insurance claim

I actually have nothing to hide here. My policy only pays up to $1000 for tree removal. And I have a massive hurricane deductible, so I'm paying for all this shite regardless.

just don't see how that heavy tree, lying that far down, could be pushed up...just not sure the wind could have done that.

Hopefully that’s what 2021 looks like.

The tree was basically acting like a giant sail. Gusts on the backside were probably around 60mph (as compared to 100 when it came in). That was enough. I watched it prop the tree up with my own eyes. And looking at the hole it made, I was surprised that the roots weren't very deep at all.

You to insurance adjuster- "That tree fell on my house."
IA - "that tree?"
You - "yep."
IS - "denied."

Reminded me of:

OP, when you get that sucker ripped out you should have a new adolescent tree on site and drop it into the hole. #profit
