Looks cheap. I won’t buy a suit with that.

Such a terrible, terrible look.
I’d rather actually wear a suit like Jordan…

don't know much about fashion, but it kinda makes it look like a woman's suit IMO.
Bitches wear pick stitches.

To me, it cheapens the suit/cheapens the man wearing it. Here's an example:
I think it depends on the fit more than the stitching. It doesn't matter how nice your suit is if it doesn't fit properly. If one of those fits the wearer well it'll look fine. If it doesn't fit it looks like the dude is going to a court date.

Why did this AI bot resurrect this thread?

PocketAces is my go to suit guy.

If a suit is handmade and fully lined, as opposed to fused, pick stitching is a necessity - that is how the horsehair lining is attached. But well done pick stitches shouldn’t be visible like your example.
Machine pick stitching is tacky as hell.
Hand stitching is an art and as easy to identify as a Ferrari in a parking lot full of Kias. You constantly see mid and low level suits mimic time honored bespoke suit details but they never get it quite right. You can see a bespoke suit across a room simply by the way it fits. You can tailor an OTR suit as much as you want but it never fits like one made just for someone's body.
I know for a lot of people a bespoke suit would be a useless extravagance but I think every man should have at least one custom tailored suit in their life. The first time you put one on is usually the first time wearing a suit seems fully comfortable and a pleasure not a chore.

Sounds about right as us true men are hard to find nowadays.
That’s some stupid fricking shite. So farmers, construction workers, bartenders, truck drivers, store managers…. Etc… aren’t real men if they don’t have a closet full of suits?

Pleats and cuffs are back in style.
I still can't do them

With fine clothing, most things are rooted in function then mimicked for fashion.
Something functional is identified as being a high end characteristic or indicator of quality, then it's copied in the cheapest way possible.

His tailor sucks. Collar should hug the neck at all times.

Those modern fit tight plain front suit pants are for pussies. Suit pants shouldn’t fit like jeans and some of us need more “room” down there.
A suit should be tailored to your body, if you need more room go ahead and get pleats, but if they don't compliment your body they will look silly.
Pleats and cuffs would not compliment my short arse legs

The first one looks cheap.

Why not?
I'm short, pleats and cuffs essentially make the legs appear wider, and therefore shorter. I have to go with flat front/no cuffs, slimmer legs, in order to give the appearance that my legs are longer.

Do farmers, construction workers, bartenders, truck drivers, and store managers go to church, take ladies to nice restaurants, attend operas/symphonies/ballets, go to funerals, etc.?
A "closet full of suits" is unnecessary, but a solid navy blue, 4-season weight, 2 button, notch lapel suit will cover anything from a wedding to a funeral.
There are occasions that warrant proper dress. Just because society has become slovenly and lazy, it shouldn't be used as an excuse to wear cargo shorts and a PFG shirt.
