Why is a desert tracking temperatures over 100? 120 degrees, sure.... but 100?

Also, dry and 100+ heat is much better than humid and upper 90s

Big cities trap heat in. It's not as bad if you get away from all the concrete and car exhaust.

Yeah, but you don't sweat through your shirt.

Give me a drink to keep the mouth from drying out and it's a good time.

Is irony the right word to use when you complain about the heat in the desert?

In 2011, Shreveport had more than 60 days above 100. Hit 109 a few times. Rain was nonexistent that summer. It was awful.

last summer we had 45 over 100 in Houston. Every day being the exact same 100-109 high, sunny and low in 80s drove me crazy. I need some rain to mix it up.

I don't know how desert people do it. I would go insane

I'll bet if they pour more concrete in the middle of that desert, things will improve!

Ex gf of mine (don’t have pics anymore) moved to Phoenix from Elkhart, IN after college because she hated the cold.

If you ever lived in Phoenix, you know that the 100s there are far more pleasant than the 90s along the gulf coast.
