Surprisingly the development apparently does not have a HOA type arrangement but instead a Community Development District which is a government unit controlled by state law. I am certain it is draconian in nature but I would bet it is preferable to most HOAs who have no accountability at all...

and most of the people are from all over so you are surrounded by tons of people from different backgrounds
thing is though you are surrounded by people that are usually upper middle class and above in retirement so you have nice things around you, nice stores, places to eat, bars to drink at, music etc.....and you dont have to deal with the bullshite of a city that you normally would have to be in to have those things
if by different backgrounds you mean people of different socio economic classes....yea your right, i would take living amongst people from same background. i dont want to deal with junkies, homelessness and crime and all the other bullshite that comes from living in a lower economic area.

But I lived in Orlando from 2002-2016, and everyone knew of the Villages and all of the stereotypes, whether true or not, associated with. And I imagine that rep had been there for years, if not decades before I got to Orlando.
That certainly didn't start with a Trump rally.

That was fantastic! Can't remember the last 45 minute YT video I've sat all the way through. Can't imagine what it would be like to wake up at my own leisure in a positive vibe resort like that every day. Really col place.

That’s just factually incorrect.. i had heard/read about the STD problems at The Villages long before the MAGA filth started infiltrating America .. also (no link)- but i did see around the time of the 2020 election where The Villages had anti-Trump rallies, as well as pro-Trump rallies .. so it’s not only MAGA freaks who live there .. they apparently have several varieties of freaks .

Looks like an HoA nightmare where 1000s of bored old people spy on each other to report each other to the board for various “infractions.” I want to move away from people in retirement not get close to 1000s of annoying entitled boomers.
