I've seen it happen ... we had a resident who refused to take her meds or eat ... she was down to 77# and was COVID NEGATIVE. She basically starved herself to death despite window visits and phone calls to with/to her family.
Another one or two went plum crazy with paranoia who were FINE before. It drove them literally nuts.

BUT if your employer says "get tested" due to exposure to a coworker who is positive, you have to. Happened to my daughter.

And for the comment about having someone in nursing homes. What an idiotic comment. Those people haven't seen family in months, and according to several workers in there, I know, b/c I ride an ambulance and go in to nursing homes, are some very depressed old folks living inside them
