Because who really complains at a quilting bee?

I 100% agree with you. Did you say anything to them about it? I would have pulled a Larry David and made a scene lol.

A heavy sigh and some eye rolls. I immediately took him by the collar and led him outside. Again, I like dogs, and I like the couple -- the wife is hot, albeit an airhead. The husband is the wife's whipping boy, but he means well. I didn't want to make a big scene, especially considering the LSU game was kicking off in 20 minutes.

I've noticed this to be a trend in my small bubble. Not everyone thinks your dog is great

it’s absolutely a trend. Dog culture got really weird about five years ago.

Are you fricking kidding?

So wedding invitations should have this now? Funeral notices? Bridal/baby showers?

Sorry. I'd have told them they need to either bring it back home or leave it in their car.

I like dogs, but people that bring them everywhere are annoying.

Totally agree with you. Having someone bring their dog to your house unannounced is rude and inconsiderate.

However, you had a moment to be a man and tell them they could either bring the dog home and come back, or leave with the dog; and you chose to post on the OT about how angry it made you.

So you get what you get.

You know who is happy right now? The Golden’s Doodle and his owner.

You know who is not? The OP.

I have some stupid post throughout the years but this one ranks right up there. You are like a poet, you have made each comment even dumber than the line before.

TBH it sounds like the kids were more of a nuisance (which they usually are)

Any kind of Golden makes any party better.

Are you a cat person or something?

Kids can absolutely be a pain, but they are under a social expectation that parents may arrive with them. You just can't leave a toddler at home alone. A Goldendoodle on the other hand...he'll lick his arse, eat a pile of shite, and just sit there until you arrive. There is absolutely no reason that he must tag along.

What the frick? Stick to car buying guides and leave the social etiquette to everyone else.

No it shouldn't and we have a dog.

You should ask well before hand, and if your not going to be gone for 6+ hours, there is ZERO need to bring the dog to a persons house/party,etc.

Now if you have family who has some land and place for dogs to run, that's a different story, and you ASK before bringing.

If that’s the case it should apply to kids too.

Personally I think a big ole doggo goes great with beer food and sports.

But not in the Chinese way that sounded.

At someone else's house? Really? And they just let the dog loose?

I had people over to my house and kept my own dog on a leash for the first 45 minutes people where here to make sure he was completely calmed down, then put shock collar on him if started jumping at all.

I wouldn't in a million years take my dog to someone else's house uninvited.

Did you exclude dogs in your invite? What about kids, anyone bring kids, and did you exclude kids from your invite?

This is also an issue.

There are jackoffs who will bring their kids to Adult parties, even though, they were told it would be adults, no kids. But these assholes just can't leave their kid with grandma, they have to go every where with them, just to be a burden to home owners and party goers.
