re: People who "show up" with their dog

"Dog people" seem to develop some weird form of blindness to exactly how much attention their dogs require to prevent them from destroying shite and making people miserable.

It's not just "dog people," though. I think most hobbies (and dog ownership is a hobby, in my book) suffer from this.

They do tend to bring out the "angry toddler" counterexample, but that's fallacious. The perpetuation of intelligent life on Earth does not depend on us micromanaging the survival of dogs. We'd be 100% fine without them.
