I hate just about any question in class.

The last minute questions are pretty bad, but the worst are the frickers that want to ask a bunch of extra shite that won't be on the exam during a throwaway class (1000 level art for instance). Maybe they like to hear themselves talk, maybe they actually think this class is important, or maybe they're just trying to brownnose in a class of 300 people and haven't yet realized that college professors don't give two shite about students.

Though, my single greatest worry is that I'll open my notebook during class and my fetish porn will start blasting through the room. However, I've just about reached the point of not giving a shite.

Slap A Hoe.. They are letting everyone know how serious they are about the class. And every second they can get with the professor they will treasure it although they have no idea how much the professor probably wants to punch the frick out of them.

Legit questions were fine. This was only an issue for me if it was that one person who asked questions just to ask questions.

If I saw it was that student asking a question at the end of class, I would just leave.

There are no such things as stupid questions. Just stupid people that ask questions.

It's always the 50 year old freshman who takes it way too seriously. I put in half their effort and still make better grades.

Unless the question has nothing to do with the class and is actually pointless, odds are is that other people in the class are thanking him in their heads for that question.

Youve never been in a large class and didnt understand what was going on, but didnt want to be 'that guy' to ask the question?

this was my experience at LSU. And I mean that in a good way. Most of the faculty I encountered were more interested in research anyway so they didn't encourage discussions other than on an exam. The professors usually beat the students out the door.

If you wanted a small class with one-on-one conversations, you should've gone to Millsaps.

The ones that would drive me insane were the "what if" questions.

Students above the age of 50 are pretty bad.

Once I had a poli sci class with about 20 people. For some reason we got to the discussing stereotypes, and the one old person in the class said that he doesn't see the issue with insensitive labels and started naming off the bad words used to identify the Irish, Mexicans, Italians, blacks, whites, etc. It was jaw dropping and very uncomfortable.

I'm sorry you were triggered. Did you retreat to the campus provided safe space?

I wasn't triggered. I just sat there. The fact that he was doing it in that setting was jaw-dropping (because it was unexpected) and uncomfortable (because people don't talk like this in 2016 and the black people in the room were about to have a heart attack). Since you have an issue with critical thinking, I'll do a better job spoon feeding you what I mean next time.
