I bet you leave your shopping cart in the parking spot as well

it would probably help if you moved your fat arse out and away from the button pad!

Does he look like he works at the grocery store???
Equating pressing a button on the elevator to someone wanting handouts is quite a stretch. He should ask you to press the button and make sure you do actually press the button but that doesn’t make you not an a-hole for not pressing it.

Stop standing right by the buttons and blocking them.
You’re probably the same jackass that pushes the up or down button and stands right by them while you’re waiting for the elevator so no one else can push them.
Or the same arse that barges on an elevator before people get off or stands right in front of the doors so when they open no one can get off without running into you.

Then step back away from the buttons when you get in. It's pretty damn simple.

Sure thing. Next time I'll be sure to push you to the side so I can press the button myself. I'm sure that is more polite.

handouts
When did expecting the person standing in front of the button panel to push the buttons become a handout? I don’t think you know what that word means.
Common courtesy is if you’re the person standing in front of the button panel, if someone gets on, ask them what floor they need and you push the button.
People have become such fricking assholes. Not everything is that much of an inconvenience.

Yeah. My pet peeve is someone who is in front of the buttons yet makes no effort to ask what floors the other people need. To me, they are the assholes.
Posted on 1/19/22 at 10:11 am to MrWalkingMan
are you so important that you can’t be bothered to press a button while standing in front of them?
Posted on 1/19/22 at 10:12 am to MrWalkingMan
Hey man, what’s it like to be a fricking psycho?
Posted on 1/19/22 at 10:13 am to MrWalkingMan
If he can't say please he deserves to be ignored.

It's called common courtesy. Although I can be a big A-hole at times, pushing a button would not grind my gears.
Posted on 1/19/22 at 10:15 am to MrWalkingMan
I am the opposite. I like to be the button pusher, get my good deed of the day out of the way walking into the office, then coast on a-hole mode the rest of the day.

I always ask what floor they need to go to first. Then I accommodate them.

You must be an absolute joy to work with if little things like this get you all worked up.

This board consistently shows me that there are very, very petty people out there Just hit the frickin button dude.
Not only did you not simply press the button, but you came here to beat your chest about it.
