Does anyone else find this annoying? I have kids and pets and my kids can suck the life out of me, that's ok. If my animals did that, I would simply get rid of them. There's no comparison between having pets and children.

These are called parasites, not kids.

You have parasites. Congrats.

People who do this don’t have children. We never called our dog our child but he was treated like a Saudi prince. The instant our son was born the dog became a dog. Pretty crazy how quickly it happened.

Sucks for the dog

Maybe they're people who were unable to conceive. Maybe not. I can't figure out a reason to care. There seems to be plenty of more important things to care about.

As a former pet owner and current parent of two children, I say you couldn’t be more wrong.

A pet is very comparable to having a young child that can’t talk well yet. They can’t communicate their needs clearly, they require your assistance in areas of daily life, most pets need you find accommodations for them if you’re going out of town, they have to be trained, they have fears and anxiety just like humans (owners gone too long, bad weather, etc), and I’m sure I’m missing a few.

Did you ever leave your toddler at home over the weekend and just have a neighbor come by and check on them once a day to make sure they had water and food available?

DHR is calling.......

We refer to them as our "Animal Friends" and "The Team", hope this doesn't offend you but if so go find a safe place you triggered bitch.

I have used this same example.

I'll meet in the middle and don't mind them being called furbabies.

What I can't stand is when they refer to them as their "fur babies". For some reason, that term is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
