Thinning out is really just to the point that it doesn't take a hit on your nose when you sniff. There should be more sniffing than sipping to enjoy.
Ice is for bottom shelf.
You really only need a few drops of water to wake your scotch up, the next thing is to warm this in your hand to body temperature. That's when it changes and gets more complex

I mean, at least put some water or ice in there to open it up. Sipping a good bourbon/whisky straight is pretty dumb.
I mean everyone who knows anything about bourbon disagrees with you outside of adding a couple drops of water to change the proof.
But by all means, order your wagyu steak well done with ketchup.

What was the whiskey? I went through all 4 pages and not one person asked...this might explain a lot

Old Crow is 3year old Beam. Good enough for me.

Never cared for it and then my gf brought home some Russell’s.
Pour that over a large ice cube and thank me later.

Sarcasm noted but damn if Texas Roadhouse isn’t underrated. Those honey butter rolls are special

My go to in cold weather is Crown Apple and Sprite, it's called a "Panty Dropper," no woman is going to be able to keep her panties on after three of those.

Do you sneak that from your parents’ cabinet?
Posted on 12/15/23 at 8:33 am to WaydownSouth
Personally I cannot drink it neat. Or let me say, I can, but I do not enjoy it. One or 2 shots over ice, and let it melt for about 10 minutes is what I do on MY expensive bottles ($40 or more ).
I've heard the best way to drink bourbon is the way you like to drink it.
