Dude, you just need to relax and enjoy a couple of bud lights and book your Disney vacation.

Once you are around more like minded people, you will feel better.

Last week I told someone our summer vacation was going to be in California and the first thing out of their mouth was “I could never go there, too liberal”

What kind of back woods shite is that? I’m not going to discuss politics.

I remember when discussing politics was sort of a faux pas

“I’m not terribly worried about the politics of the lemurs at the San Diego Zoo.”

What a bizarre thing to bring up to someone who just told you about their vacation.

I stay the hell away unless I have to use them for something, they're usually in to politics because they are boring people.

I don't give a shite about how you vote or if you drink bud light. Tell me about your garden, bro.

Trump broke modern discourse

You have to prove you are Pro-Trump or Anti-Trump before any conversation can continue

Trump was just the pendulum swinging back after 8 years of hope and change.

Despite the fact way more Americans voted for neither person than those who voted for he + Brandon or he + Hillary. The vocal minority is out of control.

Some dudes watch TV news for hours a day, listen to talk radio in the car, and are reading political news on their phone constantly. Its all they steep their minds in, so its all they have to connect to in conversation.

Yep, I know one well, who almost got in a fist fight with a friend’s husband out on the beach one day. I told him to cut it out - I’m not going to lose friendships over politics.

I was brought up not to discuss politics, religion or sex. Thanks to social media, it’s all anyone wants to talk about now.

I have a cousin who puts progressive politics into every conversation. I called him out on this and he says it's his first amendment right. I told him he was just rude and a troll - he hasn't spoken to me since.

As frustrating as California can be, it’s still got the best weather and beautiful terrain. It’s easily the country’s most naturally beautiful state. That’s probably part of where the frustration comes. They ran it into the ground.

Regardless, people can’t even mention California without getting triggered. Just because you said you want to visit there in a vacation doesn’t mean you align with their lifestyle. Get a grip people. Louisiana folk can go enjoy California and vice versa.
