Tbf we should use the death penalty a lot more like China. You abuse animals, you die. You abuse children, you die. You kill anyone, you die. More than 3 DWI? You die. Our society would be much better off getting rid of these criminals that will never be anything but a burden, and are usually habitual offenders that consistently present a danger to society. Locking people up for life presents no value

Define "cruel" there are a lot of people that call bow hunting cruel. I've seen young boys shoot dogs with BB guns because they were dumb and young.

We should execute people for a lot of shite but somehow they still end up living.
Society has gotten so damn soft. shite back in the day people got hung for stealing. Even the smallest things. Even now in other countries they’ll execute in a heartbeat for a lot of reasons. Too much bureaucracy and politics in the US. Red tape.

I support the death penalty for rape, murder, and any crimes involving harm of children.
I also oppose laws that treat minors different from adults for violent crimes. And insanity pleas for violent crimes. Just because you're crazy doesn't mean you don't deserve the death penalty.

Not saying we should administer the death penalty, but there seems to be a clear ethical line between killing for sustenance and killing out of cruelty/convenience.
