With CrossFit it is not matter of “if”you will get injuried but a matter of “when” you will get injuried.

It is kind of ironic that every time I see someone mention Crossfit on this site, it’s because they are tired of hearing about it, and hate it. Then they come on hear to talk about it more..? The irony

If I hear about ‘burpies’ one more time I’m going to stomp a kitten.

I did 40 burpee pull-ups right before I did 55 squat cleans then ran 800m and finished it off with 100 doubleunders before half of you mouth breathers woke up this morning.

Just wanted to let y’all know.

I lift almost every day and love it. I absolutely would have and probably should have done Crossfit in my early to mid-20s. I'm 33 now and wouldn't even think of trying it for fear of injury.

You fear injury at an age that is considered prime to end prime of most athletes? This has nothing to do with CrossFit, but that's a pretty stupid premise.

There's a few guys and girls that do crossfit where I work. They are much like the OP said, their entire day revolves around their workout. I'm often left to wonder how their wife's (or husbands) are ok with them not getting home until 6:30-7:00 because they go workout for 2-3 hours everyday. They eat nothing but what I call "healthy crap" all day and their Facebooks are full of nothing but pictures and comments about their latest competition.

But this is where it gets good. There's a divide, between these 20-30 year olds and the older people in the company who also used to work out in similar ways. Their stories are of how because of weight training, or even running, they are now left with serious back issues, knee issues, shoulder, elbow, wrists. Anything you can think of, these individuals often make comments about "yeah you'll be like me when you're my age and not be able to walk because of all that weight you play with. This is met with disagreement from the younger guys, because they say their bodies are in such great shape.

Nothing, and in all honesty, I love kittens and would never stomp one.

Is it really all that different from Fantasy Football?

Talking non-stop about these things is a personality issue, has nothing to do with the hobbies being flawed. I'm religious, work out all the time, and play fantasy football and I never talk about those things to my co-workers unless I know they have similar interests.

My next door neighbor is a orthapedic surgeon. He says Crossfit is the best thing to ever happen to his practice.

He also told me: "We are both over 50, and our shite will break. Dont do that crap".

crossfit is for people that aren't coordinated enough to participate in a sport. That's all they can do and are so proud they can't shut up about it.
