Contact HR. These situations are a big part of the reason they exist. If what you say is true, the magic words “hostile work environment” could force action assuming your company’s HR department is worth a shite.

Find another job. Once you have a new job secured email your evidence to upper management and HR and let them know why you sought employment elsewhere.

You're going to have to call these lying bitches out for a round of Brazilian break-dance fighting. It's your only real option at this point.

Time out…This changes EVERYTHING. You’re going up against one the Untouchables in the corporate environment (minorities, women, LGBTQ+++). Particularly, I have experienced career-driven women to be some of the most ruthless people to work with - sabotaging coworkers, blaming others, flirting with upper management - all as a result of their motivation to get ahead.

I can relate with you: I’ve had a weak boss who wouldn’t defend me on issues when I was clearly in the right. It sucks… People falsely blaming you. Stealing your ideas, etc. Problem is, you can’t defend yourself or you’ll look like a combative employee. Your boss is either their friend, or too weak to do anything to help your situation.

This is a culture issue. Your employer hasn’t set the right tone, and it sounds like people have formed cliques. Just get out and save your mental health. It’s not worth the uphill climb. LinkedIn and my Inbox are blowing up with jobs. Surely you can find a new gig. That’s my advice to you. Exit gracefully and take away their punching bag.

The OP has done nothing wrong, and you are telling him to bail. HR is there for a reason (to protect the company.) He cannot fix the problem if he does not take the steps. He has to at least give HR the chance to do their gig.

If it is not fixed, find their home addresses and burn those pos's to the ground. Just make sure you are in church, surrounded by 7 nuns, when the fires occur.

Sounds like something at your work that was your responsibility got fricked up. How about quit trying to blame other people, quit making excuses and whining on the Internet, and handle your business.

Life is too short to work in a toxic environment.
I had a similar situation at a previous employer, and proved my case. The powers that be were not fully on my side because of their own CYA attitude. The best call I got was when my now employer called me for an interview.
Going to work stressed over other people's bullshite and shortcomings are just not worth going through.

The powers that be don’t want to deal with petty bickering they have a business to run. People need to handle their business without running to the boss about it. If you run to the boss they’re going to see you as a problem employee because all they see is the fact that there’s some bullshite problem getting in the way of productivity they don’t care who’s right or wrong. If there’s a safety issue then that’s everyone’s problem. If it’s not a safety issue, it’s not their problem.

That's the thing. I have a great relationship with all the engineers I support, all the folks in logistics, and technical sales. Are you facing consequences or not?

Ie does everyone know they are a pain so they take it with a grain of salt but now you are making yourself look bad by making it an issue and getting in the mud to fight with them?

Or is it truly effecting you and you actually need to show evidence of what’s going on to counteract some punishment/consequence?

you can probably sue for wrongful interference with business relations.

If in LA, he'd probably lose. LA does recognize a claim for tortious interference with business relations, but it is very narrow, usually limited to preventing one party from contracting or dealing with another. Merely affecting the business relationship short of that won't do.

There is probably not a valid claim based on "my coworkers are being assholes and wrongfully blaming me for something for which the employer has not even fired or disciplined me; it just pisses me off."

Some mention hostile work environment, but there is no HWE claim for just coworkers being assholes. The HWE has to be severe or pervasive harassment based on race, sex, disability, or other protected status, and alter the conditions of the victim's employment. If mean girl coworkers pick on someone because he is a nerd or has a funny haircut or they just don't like them, that is not actionable.

fight the person or quit. Or call them out loudly and in front of a lot of people and bring receipts - you do run the risk that this person is a very good liar and will make you look even worse.

Seriously - in this job market jump to another job, give yourself a raise and leave this behind.

After reading the problems you seem to have with multiple “crazy” people I’m reminded of a quote from Raylan Givens.

“If you run into an a-hole in the morning you ran into an a-hole - you run into assholes all day? You’re the a-hole”

There might be a reason no one ever seems to have your back.

Seems like this is the great way to setup an employment discrimination lawsuit.

I’d continue to raise the issues with the boss and let him ignore it, also start reporting it to HR and probably chat with a employment lawyer.

Get your documents in chronological order when you meet with the lawyer to see if you have a case.

The ethics hotline is good source as well since they are legally bound to investigate the reports. That’s usually corporate handled vs local so your goombah boss can’t frick it up.

Get your ducks in a row. Print out the correspondence. Put everything in date order to establish a timeline. Take notes. Cover your arse. After that, go take a steamy shite on some desks.

Step one should have been reporting to hr. I personally despise hr, but your situation is a huge part of why they’re there.

2nd, why did you write it out like a sonnet? I kept trying to match up a song.

HR is not there for you and your battles. HR is there for your employer. I, too, make the mistake early in life that HR was there as some sort of referee calling tie-breakers and stuff. No, they are there to keep the boss out of trouble with the Department of Labor, hiring/firing, benefits, and avoid routine harassment lawsuits, etc.
