Chick i did med school with (you dont want pics) lives in DC and was on FB saying she took her kids to the White House protest so they could be a part of something positive or some stupid shite. Kids are probably around 10. She then whines about people getting gassed and the danger the cops were putting her children in.

Bitch you put your kids in that position, not the cops.

I bet she blames Trump for illegals sneaking themselves and children across the border

How dumb of her to think she could go peacefully protest with the expectation of not being tear gassed by law enforcement.

Where does it say she wanted to protest peacefully?
You are making assumptions.

But they haven't been. Whether it's the cops fault or rioters she knew the danger of bringing a child out there. Reckless

I'll never understand people involving small children in politics

It’s not just tear gas, she is putting a child in the middle of a mass of people
The kid could easily be trampled, snatched, accidentally knocked down, touched inappropriately

This is the hilarious part. Protests are never about anything positive.

They are hate rallies.

It looks better on the social media.

Plus you can always re-home them if they turn out to be autistic.

You can also let your kid play in a busy street - why can’t the drivers watch where they’re going?

Even if you disagree with the reason behind the protest, the right to protest is fundamental in this country.

Imagine if a bill was making its way through Congress to take away every gun in America. Would you all still be against protesting?

Now should be the time to get on board with the protesters for one huge reason: Civil Forfeiture. You people have been bitching about this overreach by our police for years. Now is the time for an overhaul of our justice system.

Another reason to support protesting is that it shows our bloated corrupt government that we won't be pushed around. It's the final check in the checks and balances of our government.

Never forget this country was founded when people literally rioted over high taxes on tea.

This is just what you do when you are so woke and trying to teach your kids how to be woke too!

Google link shows young girl getting pepper sprayed.

You honestly don't think that a protest is a prime example of an event that is a powder keg just waiting for the tiniest of spark to light the fuse and it explodes out of control?

Or is it always the police's fault when a protest goes sideways and violence breaks out?

You really don't think it's not a bad idea to maybe do your job as a parent and not put your small kids in a precarious position where you know there's a chance, no matter how small or large of a chance, that things turn out bad?

The first couple of days sure. At this point you know what you're getting into.

I am not very pro-police, but it's damn clear they will tear gas anything at this point, so why the hell bring kids?
