Kids yelling and screaming while running up and down the halls bothers me far more than a dog in a hotel.
I guess you should make sure you find non-friendly kids hotels from now on. Oh wait...
I think all yall in the "dogs are better than kids" crowd forget...DOGS ARE ANIMALS! Stop putting them at the same category as humans no matter the size. I get it they are great companions and all, but have some fricking class.
Ie...if I invite you over for dinner, and you have kids then they are auto-welcomed. Doesn't mean you can automatically bring your dog(s) too.

Not true. I'm pretty stupid and my last dog had an IQ on the level of Einstein.

leave the damn dog at home
This. Always. It’s weird that people find comfort in a damned animal anyways, but leave that at home.

No desire to eat dinner with someone else's filthy disease carrying flu ridden not immunized kid(s). The thought disgust me and made me vomit in my mouth a little bit.

Knowing that you feel that way confirms that me feeling the exact opposite is the right feeling.
Thank ya baby Jesus!!!

Nice rant. I can sympathize with this. The only thing that would take the frustration up a notch is encountering a fake service dog sporting a bullshite vest from amazon.
Vests aren’t required for service dogs and some dogs have vests because they slip out of collars easy. If you are thinking service dog = vest, that’s not how it works.

I get your point, but not my point. Definitely need to be selective on who you invite over when you know their kids are tagging along, but when the invite goes out, the kids come with.

Am I suppose to get mad when a child cries in the theater or screams in a restaurant? Or coughs and sneezes without covering there mouth?
No. They’re humans. Not pets.

But pets require that their carpeting be cleaned for the safety of the next pets on that floor.
When going to a pet-friendly major chain, request a room anywhere but on the pet friendly floor. We got stuck on one and the chemicals were horrible.not just the scent, but the fact that the carpet in our room was still wet because it had to be cleaned thoroughly before the room was ready for us.
Asked for another room, none available.
Talked to a manager at a different hotel in that chain and he showed us the list of chemicals for the pet floor.
Their dogs would have been 'greener' had they been left at home.

First off I am mad. Second off I have two dogs. Lastly and my entire point is I don’t treat them like my kids. I don’t take them everywhere I go. Aparrently residence inn Marriott is dog friendly. Late last night I go downstairs to get some waters... this fat girl has this shite dog on a leash and as I am exiting the elevator i accidnently brished up against the dog with my leg... this fat butch says excuse you... I’m like frick you ,,, but I didn’t I just kept walking and chuckeled. First off frick her... damn dogs don’t belong in a hotel. Second off if I were a person who brought a dog to a hotel I’d have an apologetic attitude towards other people. Not to mention I heard one barking last night. ... that broke me. Yes I’m mad. I’ll get over it though. Have great Saturday.

If you make the mistake of booking a room at a dog-friendly hotel, that’s your fault.

Isn't the problem here the fat and rude lady?
I don't really see how the dog plays much of a role.
