Both. And microwave for a super quick roast. It works.
And, if you put Cajun seasoning in your boiled peanuts , not only does God hate you, but your female children witll be born with the fat gene and bad teeth. Salt only, for health and happiness.

In SC it's strictly boiled. One of the best things about the summertime here is stopping by produce stands along country roads and getting a pound of boiled peanuts and a cold Dr. Pepper.

When I got here to MS, I discovered boiled peanuts...I had never seen them back in LA.
I find boiled to be pretty damn tasty, but still like them roasted the best.
