Boiled. Many moons ago, some guy was about to roast peanuts and said to themself “self, these peanuts would be a lot better if they were boiled”. And they were.

Buttered, then jarred. Following that, spread on a piece of wheat bread with a jellied bread lying in opposition. Serve with milk.

From MS originally, but during my years at LSU I found out that a lot of my friends down there had never had boiled peanuts. Boiled a huge pot of freshly bought green peanuts from a farmer's market on the way to destin one year for SB and they loved them.

Tony's and a lot of salt for the Cajun-style. Win.

I had never heard of boiled peanuts until I moved to MS and saw the lady in the trailer off of the Stennis exit. Wife got them one day,...that's a damn slimy snack. Gross and no thanks.

Peanut butter or products derived from peanuts are a different discussion.
