Paxlovid - is it safe?

I gave up on reading any Covid topic a year and a half ago for obvious reasons so I have no clue if this is safe or not. My wife and I both have Covid right now for the very first time. I’m mostly fine but it’s kicking her arse and she wants to go get some paxlovid today.
All I know about this is that it’s made by Pfizer and I don’t trust their vaccine so I’m unsure about this medication. I have read positive things on google but we all know how tilted the MSM is going to be so I’m unsure if I should trust it. As always, I come to the OT for the unfiltered advice that it’s known for - should we trust it or has it been linked to blood clots and death like the vaccine?
I’m sure this thread will go swimmingly but I’m looking for honest opinions.

I took it with no ill effects.
I also took C, D, zinc, lactoferrin, and Benadryl.
Important thing is to get out in the yard. You want sunlight, fresh air, and exercise if you can do it without getting too close to others. Lying down too much is how you end up with pneumonia.

quote:Everey medication known to man is either made by Pfizer or another competitor of Pfizer that is the exact same. So, either never take another medication every again, or pick your poison (pun intended)

DO NOT TAKE IT...it is filled with Bill Gates microchips and will make you magnetic and will alter your DNA and then you'll get a heart attack like that football player.

Paxlovid, like the vaccine and COVID itself, are probably so harmless that you're more likely to get struck by lightning than have serious effects from it. Take it, don't take it, doesn't matter

Bruh, call your family doc.

I wouldn't take anything that had 'emergency use' authorization. I'm not going to be a test subject unless death is on the table.

I’m not a doctor, pharmacist or other medical professional but Paxlovid is an anti-viral. I don’t know the specifics about the medications it uses, but the “technology” of it does not seem to be new. I’ve seen comparisons between it and how Tamiflu treats the flu.

Use ivermectin instead.
Paxlovid is designed to stop the replication on the spike protein between cells. Take it early and it supposed to keep your viral load low so your body’s immune system can work it’s magic.
Ivermectin prevents the nuclear transport of the spike protein. Once again, you take it early so it keeps your viral load low to allow your immune system to fight off COVID.

Covid kicked my arse too, but honestly it’s a great opportunity to lose weight. Embrace it.

Normally I would but that bitch told me to stop taking vitamin D because my multivitamin already had enough in it. That was in late February and I’ve been taking vitamin D every day since before Covid even started. I never had Covid until Easter. I’m back to taking vitamin D every day. I’m convinced it was keeping Covid away.

It's safe and 97% effective just like the vax

May cause constipation, vomiting, extreme flatulence which could lead to irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, and gastroparesi which could lead to vegan bicycling on Highland Rd. at night. Or it might not.

Covid was/is a scam. Stop being dramatic, she’ll be fine unless she’s 400 lbs

I'm a pharmacist and can tell you no one is prescribing it anymore. Not even for the old and sickly people with covid. It has fallen out of favor because it's not effective and has drug interactions.
Im not kidding when I say I haven't had an rx for it in so long we recently put all of it - the molnupiravir too- in the supply bay with other pandemic shite we don't want to look at anymore. Can't wait to expire it. Pharmacies have huge overstocks of it and zero demand.

My wife & I both got COVID earlier this year (1st time). We both took Paxlovid and had no ill effects other than a temporary bad taste. The PA I saw thoroughly reviewed the potential side effect but since I’m over 65 she recommended I take it.
The person my wife saw didn’t even mention side effects; just prescribed the meds.
I think the Paxlovid probably shortened the time we didn’t feel well - both were pretty much back to normal after about 2 days but we took all the pills (5 days)

Side effects were worse than the actual virus in my experience, but could help your wife if she's having a lot of symptoms

You’ll be fine without it, just pound your vitamins and sit outside in the sun
