Yep, the wife and I have cut out most carbs and sugars and have both lost quite a bit in 6 months. Slow and steady is the answer to weight loss.

ummm... have you seen most doctors? people are not going to take fitness advice from someone that obviously knows very little about it or at least appears to know very little due to their own looks.
and saying...hey you need to exercise is not what he is talking about. He is talking about giving them a full on strength training plan or working with qualified coaches in the area to refer the patient to them for both nutrition and strength training programming.

no im an engineer.....H&F and more specifically S&C/sports performance is just my passion. yea im pretty passionate about it
im not really passionate about the medicine being talked about. i just dont understand all the hate on it, especially from others that are passionate about health and fitness

I am a huge fan of personal accountability, and I also acknowledge that the personal accountability ship has sailed with a lot of folks and that something like this may benefit the population. However, I feel like not enough emphasis is placed on regulatory reform surrounding food engineering related to supernormal stimuli. Everything is engineered to be addictive, cheap, voluminous, target the parts of the brain that bring up our levels of dopamine, etc….people without discipline or knowledge don’t stand a chance!
The fact that there is a large level of regulation surrounding drugs, but almost no regulation regarding the use of damaging ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, seed oils, etc….like how about let’s not allow something to be sold that contains 2,000 calories in a normal serving?

"She reportedly snuck the gun in past metal detectors hiding it in the folds of her belly fat," Kusinski said in a post on X.
Police previously said that a 42-year-old woman "sustained one gun-shot wound to the leg" and a 26-year-old woman "also sustained a graze wound to the abdomen."
Authorities said the older woman was taken to a local hospital where she was in fair condition and the other woman refused medical treatment.

Because when these fat people take the shot and actually focus on fitness, weight lifting, etc. it makes them stand out less. It's a selfish response because they aren't as special anymore, while injecting TRT every week.

Don't forget aerobic exercise. Especially with people prone to CVD the combination is far more effective at weight loss and reducing CVD precursors than either one exclusively. Aerobic exercise in the same cohort shows marked increases in VO2Max not present in resistance-only training. I know there is a big disagreement about which type of exercise is better for cardiorespiratory fitness but I am still unswayed and firmly on the aerobic side in all people from 400lb fluffernutters to elite athletes.

im actually on opposite end. i dont think aerobic exercise matters that much. atleast in terms of weight management/BF% management which i beleive determines most health benifits
i dont dislike aerobic exercise just feel most could just walk or do carries and still get many of the same benefits without the running. i also think jogging is terrible and would much prefer to see people sprint. those are just my opinions though
