Mountain Hardwear...because you can actually wear it in the mountains

Mountain Hardwear is owned by Columbia and sort of trash. Worst ski pants I've ever owned.

While Patagonia doesn't really make any technical gear anymore The North Face does. They have plenty of quality technical gear and technical clothing. You won't see many people at Starbucks in an 8000 meter suit.

Most of my technical clothing is Arc’teryx, Marmot or North Face. For more casual wear most any of the name brands will last longer than you want to wear them.

I dont like the fact that everyone and their brother wears Northface jackets.. but i’ve owned a couple of other jackets, an Orvis and an Eddie Bauer- and they just didnt keep me as warm as the Northface stuff i own... so i keep gong back to Northface.. oh well, i wont be different, but at least i’ll be toasty warm.

Everything I’ve ever bought that’s North Face has been fantastic. I’ve got a Marmot rain jacket that’s pretty nice too.

Patagonia stuff doesn’t fit me very well. I’ve got broad shoulders and I’ve got to size up for it to fit me and everything looks like a tent.
