THIS IS INSANE. I’m not sure the people on the news understand how much of a frick up this is. The smaller crane now is just leaning against the building. The taller crane fricking flipped over!!!

East crane is down. The part standing on the street doesn't pose much risk. Just push it over whichever way it is leaning. Not as simple as written, but not terrible.
I think the boom breaking on the west crane was not expected or at least not wanted.
That boom broke and held on for dear life.
