Surveys indicate that the medical field, particularly doctors and nurses, has the highest rates of infidelity, often due to the stressful nature of their work and long hours. Studies show that a significant percentage of healthcare workers have been unfaithful.
Female healthcare workers were my jam on Tinder.

She’s pretty sold on policy. She wants to get her JD, then a master’s in law. I want her to do whatever she wants. These are her choices.

Coast guard or San Francisco maritime academy. Merchant mariner and shipping industry will never die and get paid well for doing real work. Not pencil pushing

USCG is always doing real work, not just training for it like the Army and crayon eaters are after GWOT. USCG is where I'm trying to push my boy.

College for whatever she's most interested in is what I tell my niece. The happiest people I know, by far, are ones that have learned how to enjoy life more than live life on a mission to "make bank."

seems like my daughter wants to be a pharmacist, which i used to be opposed to, but i guess we'll be able to leave the pharmacies to her, so i guess it'll all work out in the end....

My kid is getting ready to graduate from HS. I’ve tried steering him towards engineering for years but he shifted away from that last year. He’s well aware of Ai and the impact of it. He’s wants to own his own business so he’s entering into college next year to study agriculture management. As of now, his plan is to get a 4 year degree then enter the coast guard as an officer to be a helicopter pilot.
I’m sure that will change, but as it currently stands, he has a legit plan and is working towards it.

What welders are making $200k? My kid is certified and wanted to go that route for a bit. Every salary report we can find doesn’t show anything close to that.
What I told him was that I grew up dirt poor. My best friends dad was a legit welder back then. Everyone knew his name in that world. They lived across the street from us, so that tells you what really good welders make if they lived right by our poor asses.

Thanks. I ask because my daughter is pursuing the same. Working now in Chemical Engineering but wants to focus towards the “bio medical “ Seems like many are focused on this field but I’m having difficulty tracking down what this means as a career/financial.
Researching biomedical can give you different answers. Biomedical engineering generally ends up working in device manufacturing. But the term biomedical is also used for the techs that take care of the electronics used in patient care. Think infusion pumps, beds, vital monitors, and so on. That’s usually people with an associates degree.
In my opinion, the best career with a biomedical engineering degree is with a pacemaker manufacturer. They have reps that works with the cardiologist and sets the parameters on the pacemaker to get it dialed in for the patient during the procedure.
I work for a manufacturer and do all the regulatory testing and calibration on MRI systems. It’s fun, it pays well, can be challenging, but there are better ways to make money.

I’m talking up becoming echocardiogram technician.Much better job,IMO.Decent pay, don’t work nights, weekends or holidays( would be on rotating call).Don’t have to deal with bedpans, diarrhea and all the other unpleasntries nurses have to deal with
This was my first career job. It’s a fantastic career for all the things you’ve mentioned. You also work closely with the docs as a sonographer, which can be pretty cool. It also opened the door to my 25 year second career in medical sales.

My son is attending TCU for international business and will study abroad in Prague next Fall. If he didn’t want to do that, I would 100% be encouraging him to look at electrical, plumbing, etc.

Oldest graduates HS and plans to attend LSU. Dental School is his goal for now and he wants to own his own business. Not going into debt is what I have advised him of for his first year of college.

Fireman.
There's not a lot of money in being a fireman. That is why most firemen I know work a second job on their days off and make as much, if not more money doing that----------most in the trades-----plumbing, carpenter, electrician etc.

In Texas they can make like $130k after 10 years. Now granted it costs more to live in Texas. In California they can make $200k+.
