Wouldn’t be surprise if that POS was a Gary alter with his white hating agenda. White people don’t call it “the community”

Did you not hear about the white privilege being associated with respect for authority put out by the Smithsonian museum?

Raise your kids according to the Westminster Shorter and there’s no need for police talk. They’ll know how to act in any given situation.

If you arent doing anything illegal you shouldnt have to act any differently around a cop than anyone else.

That means you should be able to tell them to frick off and disobey them if you have done nothing wrong.

All of that is pointless bravado. Just shut up and be nice. It’s not hard Your childish ego in that situation can get yourself into stupid situations that are unwarranted.

DWB is a thing alright but if the fear is you're going to get killed by a cop, keep your nose clean, be overly repspectful and comply, comply, comply.

Every video I've seen of someone getting killed started with noncompliance.

When I was a kid...they would bring cops to school and tell us these were the good guys. If we were in trouble look for an officer.

That would be so frowned upon now.

It's to build excuses for later in life.

There are definitely racial divides in what people are taught from a young age. Of all things, I was just looking at research articles on disparities in restaurant tipping and asset/investment choices. Even with similar socioeconomic status, there are massive differences and most attributable to 'just never being taught'.

Do what authorities and especially what police ask you to do
Tip servers at least 15-20% - they don't make min wage.
Start investing at least 6% early and diversify

We have a cop in the family, and I was told not to talk to the police without a lawyer or my parents.

I honestly can't recall ever having the 'police talk' with my parents. I guess it was just one of those common sense things like not putting your hand on the stove burner when it's on.

I don’t know about “the dreaded talk.”

But my parents and drivers ed teachers ( coaches) told me what to do in a traffic stop and how to avoid them.

There are a couple small municipalities nearby that my mom especially warned us about.

We’re white, but weren’t rich and my parents weren’t going to be bailing us out or hiring attorneys.

And it was mostly just common sense. Treat others with respect and your interactions might go better.
