8:00 pm is about as early as I would go. There has to be some time as a family together after work and dinner. We started the bath and book process at 7:30

It's still daylight at 7:30 part of the year

7 and 3 (almost 4)...8:30 during the week and usually let them go til about 9-9:30 on weekends.

7 year old goes to bed with ease. 3 year old is usually a challenge unless she's just so incredibly exhausted she can't keep her eyes open. Worse if she naps at all during the day. She'll fall asleep in the car at times especially if we're driving kind of a distance or if she played hard

She is adamant about getting them in bed by 7:30 minimum every night. Weekend rolls around and life happens, softball, dinner, etc. And at 8:00 they are tired and bratty.

I got 4 of them frickers. They're 12,14,16,18 now. But even as toddlers enforcing a 730 bedtime is just dumb. It's almost always the mama's doing. Why not 9pm unless the child has problems staying awake during the day?
730 bedtimes are akin to mask mandates. 100% about power and control.

7 and 9 (soon to be 10)

We start family reading time (currently working on 3rd Harry Potter) at 8pm

Brush teeth, bathroom, and water at 8:25.

Then they get their own reading time while laying in bed for about 20 minutes. Then it's lights out and prayer time. Sometimes a devotional. I try to be out their room right at or before 9pm.

Giving them their own reading time has calmed them. Also challenging them to take the AR tests in school and gets points on those books help them as well. They get prizes for every 25 AR points.

2 kids- ages 11 & 9. Both go to bed around 8:30 on weeknights. Up at 6:45 for school- the wife has to drag them out of bed.

Weekends usually in bed by 9:30- bouncing off the walls by 7 am. Imagine that.

6 and 4 yo (boy and girl). Both go to bed around 8:15 or so. They both wake up for school at 6:15 am.

We’ll see how see stick to that bedtime. Soccer and flag football start for both in a few weeks with practice after school 1 day week plus scouts for the boy.

Twin toddlers, 7pm and wake up about 6:30 or 7. Bed time can be earlier or later it all depends on how they’re acting. The fussiness drives the bedtime

12 and 16 year old boys. They normally go to bed around 10:00 during the week.

Used to be 9:00 until they were around 10.

Trust me, other than Church life, sleep time is about the only structure we are decent at.

Mine will be 15 next month and it’s lights out at 11:20. He gets up for high school at 8:20 every morning.

Where were these late riser high schools when I was attending? Sheesh.
