Dear OT,

You've never failed me before, and I've always implemented all of the excellent advice of the LLoT and OT ballers.

Just had my first kid... any advice appreciated! TIA

Don't raise your hand, try not to raise your voice, be firm and consistent, tell your child you love him/her.

You just want general advice?

First, you have to feed it, burp it, bath it and change its diapers. They cry and I think it usually means they are hung, maybe tired or something is bothering them. If they are crying a lot and you can't figure out why, bring it to the doctor.

You might have to rock it to sleep sometimes. And when they are young, they sleep a lot. Not sure how much and you also have to warm up their food that looks like milk, but I think its a special kind of formula that has good stuff in it and you have to put a drop on your arm to make sure its not too hot. As time passes they will develop more and more. They will likely start smiling at some point, then crawling and all that good stuff.

Any preference on gender, since that remains unstated?

Rock n play sleeper

Just do whatever the wifey wants for the time being. She's hormonal. It gets better.

But I just really need the insight of the folks who know as much about the world as the OT legends.

Everyone's pretty well aware that college is the best time of life. Everything after that is just part of an agonizing march towards death
