Sorry, I just wasn't aware of many if any areas here in the east bay that are predominantly white.

edit: Maybe through the Caldecott?

Have you ever been to the neighborhoods in the Berkeley area?

I don't think Berkeley is predominantly white. Unless you count anyone who isn't black as white?

Edit: It is 59% white if they do not include the student population. Either way it is extremely diverse. I would not qualify that as upper class either. The hills are pretty but the bottoms are essentially Oakland.

I'm not speaking of neighborhoods in terms of entire sections of town like "Piedmont" or "Westbrae". I'm talking about individual neighborhoods within those places.

Those signs are everywhere here, you are right about that. But I like to believe that here maybe a few of them actually believe it and live life in a way to exemplify those values and not just virtue signal. Who knows though...they may be assholes just like the rest of us.

That being said, if your sister lives in the Berkeley hills she must have done some things right along the way. Those places aren't cheap.

If it saves just one nursing home patient's life that has stage 4 cancer then it is all worth it!

Same here. The amount of signs correspond perfectly with property value.

Went to Costco on Friday hit the trifecta 30 rolls TP, 12 rolls of paper towels and a 5 pack of Lysol wipes. I noticed a few couples splitting up to get two of each, so it’s definitely on the minds of folks. Biden will shut the economy down. That will cause delays. I don’t blame folks.

Damn. My Costco has been totally out of paper towels for the last 3 weeks and hasn’t had Lysol wipes since March

We just grabbed an extra package of TP, Paper towels, and Wipes at Sam's on Friday. Then stocked up the freezers on over the weekend. Hoping to fill the rest with fresh venison next week.

This buying spree has nothing to do with COVID, it's about the Biden/Harris economic plan for America!

Harris County just sent out the Health Crisis emergency text like you get for tornados or Amber Alerts. My phone damn near rattled off the table 10 minutes ago.

Our communist child of a County Judge, Lina Hidalgo, is relishing her authority and ability to kill local businesses. She absolutely thrives on panic and fear. That's why we're getting marching orders through the emergency alert system.

At least empty shelves like this will mentally prepare people for what it will be like with communism.

And if moron Biden does get in office and tries to shut things down, it's still an overreaction

You’re probably right. But that’s how overreactions work. When presidents shut down economies, citizen overreact. One leads to another. Nobody is likely going to need that much arse paper and Lysol wipes. Likewise no one is going to need 1000’s of rounds of ammunition. But people will do what they feel they have to, protecting themselves and their family.
