Never a bad idea to check out what's going on in a long thread before you jump in. Just an FYI.

Did the Whipple surgery give you extra time? 2 years seems like a relatively good prognosis for pancreatic cancer. My grandmother survived only a few short months after her diagnosis (no Whipple surgery).

This was today's update from Spelt it rong on page 10

quote:

Just wanted to give an update on lovelsu (my aunt)

She finally lost her hard-fought battle with this round of pancreatic cancer. She always kept such a positive outlook and hoped for the best, even with such dismal odds of beating it a second time, giving hope to those around her. She will be missed by so many that knew her.

Please keep my uncle and his family in your prayers.

Ben Coleman was one n of my best friends . I miss the hell out of him especially during LSU football season. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. It's not easy at all.

Sorry to hear about your aunt passing. I don’t know why God lets bad things happen to good people. I do know God has a plan for each of us and that he loves us. Prayers sent up for your aunt’s family. Hope y’all find comfort in God’s grace.

The older I get the more people that I am around that are going through similar circumstances. Life is tough and only gets harder the older you are. I am sorry that you are having to go through this prolonged illness. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you. Enjoy your good times when you can. Stay strong.

Damn. Didn't realize the other poster just edited the thread title. Thought she had posted an update on her first post.
