I had something similar just before I had my stroke that devastated my life and I may never recover

Try sleeping in wrist and or elbow brace to keep them straight at night
Elbow brace with some bend helped me on right arm
Nothing helping left right now, considering chiropractor

Ice wrap as much as possible and wear a compression sleeve, especially sleeping.

Definitely don't do this.

Curious, why do you suggest not seeing a chiropractor for pain in the appendages?

I just toughed it out and most of the feeling in my hand went away. I guess the bone rubbed the nerve to the point it was severed.

Go get it diagnosed by a neurologist. I have Parsonage - Turner Syndrome. Caused permanent nerve damage to my left arm and hand. ( sure glad that’s not my dominant hand for self flagellation )

Go get an EMG. Best of luck.

Sounds like Ulnar nerve

Thought I had issue with nerve in my elbow. Same symptoms. Pinky and portions of my ring finger would go numb

Turned out it was actually the nerve pinching in my neck.

Reading more of the other suggestions. Sounds like how the docs first diagnosed me. Keep saying it was the nerve compresses in my elbow and put me in a brace. Didn’t get better. Was finally diagnosed it was compression in the neck

When I slept on my left side I felt the numbness. Had to learn to sleep on my back with support under my neck and do decompression stretches with my neck. Finally went away.

Did you get any relief? How did you figure out it was the neck?

I have the exact same symptoms.

Edit: Just saw the follow up posts, thanks!

Probably because the vast majorities of chiropractors base their business models on return visits, and therefore don't actually treat the issue, but do enough to keep you returning.

Find someone (and it could be someone who is a chiropractor, I found one like this) who wants to treat you to the point he/she never has to see you again. It may take a couple visits, but they eventually want you treated and gone.

A nerve study could have told them this right away. My mom has had the same issue with tingling/numbness in her ring and pinky finger. She was already being treated for some back issues she has, and her orthopedic guy scheduled a nerve study as soon as he saw it wasn't getting better. He wanted to rule out the neck. It was around a 15 minute procedure (in and out in around a half hour from the time she got there) and showed it was not her neck, but her elbow. Also showed minor carpal tunnel in both hands. The nerve release procedure is minor and wouldn't take much, but it isn't bothering her too much, so she has opted to forgo surgery so far.
