Try filling up a 200 gallon tank on a boat, plus two 50 gallon spare tanks when the damned pump shuts off at 50 bucks. This was when gas was $3.50 and most small stations were pulling that shite. Also, they were the only stations selling non ethanol

Not so subtle brag I see.

Damn, we have Klienpeter less than 5 miles from any store I shop at and I don't think I've paid less than $4 for a gallon of milk in the last 4 years.
frick, at Albertsons in Lafayette, Kleinpeter's milk is over $6 for a gallon.

They must be out of their fricking mind.

Work in the offshore industry. It is not rebounding. Not really.

Been fishing off a 400 gallon since '07, was pretty much an arm and leg back then. But, you can fill up on the water and get the road tax money as a refund. So the pump doesn't shut off.

Usually pumps near a dock are super high, to the point that it's worth just paying the road tax.

Not my boat, not my brag . May not know much about the total cost of buying the boat, but I know a little about paying for the fuel

I remember when you could buy 100 gallons of fuel for $40 and someone would pump it for you, clean your windshield and check your oil.

Offshore is going to need a real glut in demand to rebound quick I think.

The rebound is palpable, if not steady, for on shore I think. I'm hearing that people are starting to head back to the Permian Basin and the Bakken.

I think people are being cautiously optimistic at the moment. When we start to see regulatory changes that equate to more revenue and more profits then we might start to see a little bigger ramp up. I think people are always going to be skeptical of letting it get back to where it was unless oil prices get back to 100+/barrel...at that point I figure they'll turn the spigot back on full bore.

I was shocked to see how much cheaper some things really are in TX. Groceries on the whole are 20% cheaper.

You paying $2.50 a gallon for premium or regular?

Regular unleaded in NOLA been holding steady right around $2.00 for a while now...give or take a few cents/gallon.

Premium Shell

I was more interested in what was going on with the industry in this thread. I guess producers are looking to cash in now just in case the bottom drops out again. I figured since fuel has been holding steady for a while, jobs would be coming back and more secure

The price at the pump only reflects oil prices when oil is high. When it's low, they have no relation

If gas prices stayed at 2.50 / gallon for the remainder of my life, I'd be happy.
