It seems like fuel prices are back to being expensive, and oil prices are around $50-55/bbl. Is the industry starting to rebound? I haven't heard much coming from anyone directly dealing with drilling or production

I lost my truck nuts after losing my oilfield job

I wouldn't call $2.50 per gallon expensive

I bought gas for $1.93 yesterday

Diesel is getting expensive.

Diesel here has been holding at $2.21 and gas has been holding around $2.11.
They will be swapping over to summer blend and prices will go up even if oil stays at the prices they are now.

Why is that?
I've noticed it's a good $0.50 higher than regular unleaded. What gives?

Not as expensive as milk, but I can't drink it. It just gets burned up every day

People actually look at the price of gas?

The pumps cut off at $100, and I like to see how much fuel I put in there. I don't think I've ever shopped for gasoline for a vehicle
The pumps that stop at $75 piss me off

Oil can be $1 a barrel, but you still have to refine it.

Try filling up a 200 gallon tank on a boat, plus two 50 gallon spare tanks when the damned pump shuts off at 50 bucks. This was when gas was $3.50 and most small stations were pulling that shite. Also, they were the only stations selling non ethanol

And so has the ot since I been here for almost 15 years

The refiners have to be absolutely killing it bc as a distributor I'm paying $1.6825 this morning before the 39 cents of taxes so cost is about 2.07 this morning. When we were at $100+ I was barely paying $1 or 1.25 more give or take so it seems like they've found a way to profit while prices are low.

I remember when you could buy 100 gallons of fuel for $40 and someone would pump it for you, clean your windshield and check your oil.
