Long story short, I had 4 packages incorrectly delivered to my house last week. They were supposed to be delivered to a distribution center down the road, but the address was printed wrong on the shipping label, and they delivered them to my house instead. I contacted the company where the packages came from, and was told they would work on having them picked up.

After the packages sat at my house for a week, I called their customer service again. This time, I was told they "normally" send the shipment again, and that I can just keep the ones that were misdelivered to my address.

FWIW, I also contacted the distribution center, and they told me to contact FedEx. FedEx told me to contact the company where the package originated from.

So, has anyone had this happen before? What did you or would you do? I have no use for this stuff (home decor), so would probably just give it away or sell it if I can get anything for it. I do plan on waiting another week to see if FedEx magically shows up to pick this crap up.

ETA: Since this is being lost in the posts, the Distribution Center told me to call FedEx and have them pick up the packages, and not to bring them there.

It would be helpful to know what it is. 10 gallons of paint or some nude photos of a dude are very different things.

You've given them multiple chances. Donate the stuff to Goodwill, sell it on Ebay, etc.

Well, only thing that made me somewhat cautious about that is I talked to a different CS rep, and it didn't seem to me that she looked anything up. She didn't ask for a PO number to look up or anything. And since they are all working remotely, she didn't ask another rep right then about it.

I did follow up with an e-mail to the company to try to get some kind of written confirmation.

I have little patience for crap like this. I'd either drop it off myself at the distribution center down the road or goodwill. But it would be out of my life immediately.

Sorry that you have to live in the shitty trailer park next to the airport and adult book store.

If it's nearby, I usually take it to the house.

If this were a situation where it was a next door neighbor, no big deal. But I'm not driving 5 miles with fragile items on shitty Louisiana roads because FedEx can't print the correct address on the label. And the Distribution Center didn't want to pick them up.

I mean in the time we've been discussing the options on Tigerdroppings I bet you could've brought the packages down the road and been back by now. Just saying.

Um... why not just take them to the distribution center down the road?

I would put the packages in my vehicle. The next time I was out running errands I would stop by the location where they were supposed to be delivered and give them to them. Seems pretty simple.

You're going to open them and they'll get corona all in your house.

Not so simple when the shite takes up a truck bed and it's all fragile.
