I think it's a lack of respect, like the person isn't earning it the same way someone would by losing weight the old fashioned way.

Ozempic will make you skinny, not necessarily fit, whereas people traditionally would work hard, count calories, etc. That conveys a certain amount of discipline & achievement that gets watered down if all you do is take a drug.

It's the same as saying "she just slept her way to the top" or "He only got that job because he's so & so's nephew" - people don't feel like you earned it so they look to tear you down.

Not saying I agree, just that's what I believe drives the thought process

Exactly, once upon a time I would have loved to know the firmness of every man's dick.

It drives up the cost of insurance. Work hard and lose it the natural way, quit being lazy and expecting other people to foot the bill because you're lazy.

This, nailed it. Hell, I sell the drug for a living and patients contact me asking for a refund because it "doesn't work." Like wtf, are you really that stupid? They didn't change their diet, exercise habits, or anything. It takes a lifestyle change too. It's not a magic bullet that'll magically make you skinny. The lazy folks on it piss me off bc they're the most ignorant of the group and give everyone else a bad rap.

False. Insurance doesn't cover Ozempic unless you're a diabetic. Everything else is cash pay through a compounding pharmacy. Just sayin...

Probably already said, but hair loss is often a function of rapid weight loss from any approach. So the likely culprit here is the weight loss, not the drug.

LINK

quote:

Hair loss during weight loss is commonly caused by nutrient deficiencies as well as other effects sudden and rapid weight loss can have on your body.

For example, sudden weight loss and restrictive diets have been linked to a condition known as acute telogen effluvium (TE), one of the most common causes of widespread hair loss on the scalp (1Trusted Source, 2Trusted Source).

Typically, TE occurs around 3 months after a triggering event like rapid weight loss and lasts about 6 months.

I can tell late middle aged women are on it because they become unattractively skinny.

Good for them if it mitigates their self-induced metabolic syndrome problems, but their legs look stupidly thin in pants and it’s annoying.

I sometimes helpfully tell them, “you’re going to break a hip and die if you don’t do something about your muscle loss and bone density problems, like some heavy squats”, but they don’t listen to me.

1) Insurance doesn't cover it.

2) The comorbidities of obesity drive up insurance WAY more than any side effect of these drugs.

I have been fat and bald for the last five years. I lost weight the old fashioned way the last 18 months. No injections for me. I think the shite is poison.

I would rather see people accomplish it naturally. Eat healthy, move, exercise.

The person would be filled with self accomplishment and self worth..

Or sit on your fat arse and take a pill.

Respect for what? People with great genes didn't "earn" it either. Too many body police. As long as you're not blocking the sidewalk or sliding your double elbow into my airline seat, I don't care what you consume.

Hair loss is a common side effect of weight loss and/or poor nutrition. This is nothing.
