Wall ball, threw tennis balls at the wall and if it hit you then you had to run to the wall before someone threw the ball at the wall. If you caught the ball then you would just throw the ball at the wall to try to hit others. Could be played with however many people.

Alternate version was peg ball(weird name now), same thing throw the tennis ball and if it hit someone, they run to the wall. Person who grabs the ball has to hit the runner with the ball before they touched the wall.

Alternate version 2 was punch ball, all the same things as the first two but everyone punched the person running to the wall before they got there.

Also played all football, basketball, baseball, kickball, cabbage ball, tetherball, four square most of this on concrete. Rode bikes, pro wrestled on trampolines, fishing, riding my go-kart and four wheelers.

Fire Fighter.

I was a little too young for this one, but my older brothers and friends started this game called "Fire Fighter." They'd have someone go out into the pastural marsh behind our neighborhood and set a small fire. Then, the Fire Fighter crew, my brothers and friends, would have to go find and extinguish the fire with water cans and burlap sacks.

As you'd expect, one day, they could never find the fire, and gave up. Later that evening a big ole marsh fire erupted. Nothing like 'em if you haven't seen one.

That was the last time that game was played in our neighborhood.

This. Our ramp was at the end of my neighbor's driveway with about 25 feet to a drainage ditch.

You had to jump as high and far as possible and slam the brakes as soon as you hit the ground and slide to a stop about a foot or two from the ditch.

For added enjoyment, there were big pine trees about 10 feet apart in the landing zone.

We would frolic along the banks of Lake Winnipisaukee playing “police officers and swindlers” from sun up to sun down, till mother’s kitchen help Bessie would holler for us to come dine. Absolute best days.

Block Knock.....it was team hide n go seek using the entire block including the next street over. We used to hide in people's garages, backyards, etc. Then when you did find someone you had to tackle him.

This reminds of the time me and two other kids got the brilliant idea to set some gutters on fire in broad daylight. We began by collecting tons of nearby pine straw using a wheelbarrow from a friends house, We filled the gutters about half full, then lit a few boxes of matches and left the scene between a couple of houses.

Things got going quickly since it was very dry outside and the straw was like tinder. We watched from afar until a fire truck showed up and put a couple of hoses in the gutters. Many people weren't at home at the time, but an old lady came out and saw us, and asked what happened. We just told her that we saw a couple of kids running away between some houses. There was smoke everywhere.
