Technically a public school.
People seem to forget this fact.

The Church Academy (CLA) also uses Bob Jones textbooks.

Yep. My oldest son graduated from Christian Life Academy in 2011. It wasn't on the level as Episcopal or Dunham but it prepared him for College. My youngest son went to Christian Life Academy from Pre-K through 8th grade. We pulled out after The Church Academy take over of the school. He just finished his first year at Baton Rouge Magnet High. I will say that CLA prepared him for High School at BRMHS but he does have to work harder now to maintain that 4.0+ GPA.

It's a great school, but you'd do just as fine as any of the other notable private schools or BR High.
Other notable private schools are running almost as high as EHS on tuition.
As far as successful graduates, let’s look at the starting offensive line my last year there...
LT - Now a lawyer
LG - Now an investment banker
C- Now lawyer
RG - Now a doctor
RT - Now an executive in Fortune 500 company
Not bad company to keep...
Isn’t Newman in NOLA like $30k/year?

Trick to getting into Uhigh is to apply for Kindergarten. It's a K-12 school and have ~100 kids per grade. Terrific school for a third of the cost of those other schools. My son graduated from there this year. School prepared him very well. Got a 34 on his ACT, and is heading to college with a full ride scholly!
And no, I'm not an OT baller. We applied when he was going into Kindergarten. We didn't get in so sent him to Catholic school Kindergarten then applied again. Got in the second time!

Please don’t act like the Niche.com rankings are indicative of anything. All of the data is user-reported.

The user data is self reported and I’m not sure how they come up with the rankings, but they’re state and national rankings are shockingly on point. Dallas, Houston, DC, etc the rankings are legitimate.
Episcopal of Acadians being ranked so high is one of the few headscratchers.

Yeah I know, but they are 'respected' for their college rankings and since US News doesn't rank private schools there's not much else to go by. It's the exact same way the people in this thread are ranking the schools except this site's sample size is much larger.

Meh.
Niche is garbage. I can go right now and make six different accounts and claim on each of them that I got a 36 on the ACT and full ride to Yale and Niche would include in their algorithm.
Objective
ACT Scores
College Acceptance Rate/School Diversity
National Merit Awards
College Scholarship figures
National/State recognitions
Subjective
Parent Participation rate
Community Opportunity/Alumni Base
First Hand Accounts
That's on what you should judge local high schools.

Yeah we talked to parents and school administrators when we were deciding on a place to put my daughter. Private school research can be somewhat difficult to find sometimes.

Episcopal and it's not close

General rule of thumb - the better the accomplishments, the more they are publicized.

Exactly. Every school that has national merit semifinalists publishes them. There are a couple of pretty clear leaders in BR.

Unless you're highly against Catholic Schools or you're completely against an all guys school why wouldn't you send your son to Catholic. (Not sure on daughters/SJA) 2017 Tuition at Catholic was 10-11k. Best sports and probably 2nd in academics in the city (behind Baton Rouge Magnet) plus a solid networking base.

Yeah I agree, all I'm saying is there doesn't appear to be any objective rankings that include private schools since they don't have to report things the same way public and charter schools do. So all you're left with is subjective sites like Niche or anecdotal evidence like this board.
