No

And if we’re applying that standard to a restaurant we have to apply it to every office building, plant and factory (which we aren’t)

We were never out of work in the first place

I think for some people yes it is

They aren't locking everything down for 6 months. It's just not going to happen. But the difference between opening everything back up right now vs waiting another month and then slowly reintroducing everything is enormous.

We haven't even been social distancing long enough for everyone who already caught it to start showing symptoms just yet.

If you want to risk seeing every basketball arena in the state filled with people in critical condition and no resources to help them then sure let's open it all back up.

Do you think the economy can survive months and months of stay at home orders?

There's an easy distinction to make in that the traffic of people going in and out of most private places of business is more limited than that going to a restaurant or bar. One group is, by nature, open to the public. The other typically isn't.

Also, thread wouldn't be complete without Scruffy and Salmon bemoaning their loss in their 401k's. Market has always been a sucker's bet.

That's what they're saying on the right as they advocate exacerbating a public health crisis.

Just when I thought my opinion of them couldn't get any lower, they manage to figure out a way.

Conservative media? You mean Fox News? Everywhere else conservative opinions are blocked, banned, or deleted.

Maybe if conservatives weren't so lazy they could afford more than one news channel.

Scruffy is acting strange. Scruffy is way too smart to believe what he has apparently been indoctrinated into. I worry about Scruffy and his patients. Scruffy needs a vacation.

You think our economy can survive a 6 week shutdown.

You are either lying to yourself or you are being disingenuous on purpose.

How is it that y’all don’t understand that you can still manage the pandemic while not shuttering the entire country?

that is literally what Trump was hinting at last night

that is actually irrelevant to the larger policy

the curve is a long term policy. period.
