Hot spots will obviously not be doing this, which is exactly what Trump has said. We'll also continue to monitor spread and take precautions as necessary, as Trump has also said.

So all cities bigger than New Orleans will continue to be shut down but lafayette is open for business?

Cities with issues will continue if that's what the evidence shows. Why should one city be shut down because another city has issues?

BTW, NY gov Cuomo is currently on TV live right now advocating the exact same thing (and trying to act like it's his idea).

Bc the infected leave the cities and go to the open ones, with a quarantine it's either all or nothing, this is going to be a diaster

NY is a big state. Blanket quarantines are stupid.

If New York and los Angeles are shut down and all similar sized cities, are we really open for business?

Also there may not be a ton of cases in smaller towns but their hospital capacity is much smaller so it would need to be on a City by city bases, and include restriction on travel (which won’t happen).

This quarantine has been half assed the whole time

You can’t get your haircut but can jump on a flight to New York or walk around Wal-Mart with hundreds of other people. Just stupid.

I think it’s obvious you either do what Trump is proposing - healthy return to work, quarantine the vulnerable and let this run its course or you have a complete shutdown for months and months and implode the economy and our standard of living. Neither is optimal. Two weeks was never going to get rid of this virus like people on social media were thinking.

should have done a real two week lockdown a week or so ago, then phased back into everyday life like trump is proposing IMO

Imagine being so short sighted you're willing to disregard the analysis of the top medical minds in the country and the world, putting the lives of literally hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of Americans at risk, all so you can go to Buffalo Wild Wings RIGHT NOW.
