OT veterinarians, my pup is sick, what else should I do?

If he has no bowel movement and won't eat them he may have a blockage

probably gonna do this in the morning. He looked stressed before he puked but now he’s sleeping. He’s probably fine but just want to make sure.

Take him to the vet first thing tomorrow and monitor him overnight. He probably has a blockage.

Let a buddy of mine keep our pup(3 months old) over the holidays. We picked him up today and brought him home and he was acting weird. He puked and there was a tiny LEGO piece, another small piece of plastic and a huge hairball in the puke. After that he was acting like he couldn’t get comfortable until he finally puked again. What ever you do, don't rush him to the Vets, continue sitting on your arse and letting him puke and continue feeling horrible from what ever they ate/ or is in their belly causing the vomiting. But by no means, rush the puppy to the vet.

He’s got something blocking him up most likely. Just bring him in as soon as you can

No definitive right answer here. If this were my personal dog (and based on what we've been told) I think I might continue to watch it over night - which does mean i'd be getting up like I would for a new born baby. I'd keep an eye on gums to make sure they stayed moist and pink. I'd do this while acknowledging there is a risk here b/c if there is a penetrating foreign body in those intestines then one could end up with a perforation and a fatal situation.

Of course, I can determine when things are becoming a major problem and I haven't seen your pup so I can't tell you what to do.


EDIT: your buddy sound like a really responsible guy. Should make sure he's available to watch kids one day

My puppy chewed up a plush toy one Sunday and wouldn’t stop puking and shivering. I rushed her to the Emergency Vet....

I knew I was in trouble when they started talking about “Financing” options for the battery of tests they wanted to run....I asked if they could just give her something to stop vomiting and that I’d watch her overnight.

Dog was fine an hour later. Still cost me over $300.
