My 11 year old is an avid reader. I gave her Where the Red Ferns Grows on Monday and she finished it today. She has gone through all our book recommendations so I wanted to see what books or series other parents may recommend for pre-teens. TIA

50 shades of Grey is popular among women, you should try that.

That may be a good recommendation for your trailer park's kids book club, but I'll pass

Old Yeller
The Incredible Journey
Three Musketeers
Moby Dick
Eleven is a good age to get some classics under your belt.

The children's books by Carl Hiaasen are great. So far, he's published four: Hoot, Scat, Chomp and Flush.

Maniac McGee was one of my favorites at that age.
If she's into Sci-fi, Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. I also read the Lord of the Rings trilogy around that age, and The Hobbit. I once read one of the LotR books in a day and a half.

Such a great quality. If she masters math; she will be dangerous.

The Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. My 10 year old daughter devoured them. She loved them.
