All things take time. The first 10 years of marriage is difficult for a number of reasons. As life goes on, you learn to appreciate it quite a lot. It will never be perfect.
23 years married for me.

Yep. If all these men had been with their wives for at least 5 years prior to marrying them.....sounds like they spent all of their 20s in a relationship. So they never got time to be single as an adult that is out of college and enjoy some independence.
Yep.
I'm so glad I waited until I was 30 to get married.

Been married for 25 years this coming May. I thank God every day that my wife came into my life. We had some ups and downs when we were younger but I think a lot of that was just maturity issues.

I know that. I struggle with contentment in almost every aspect of my life. I'm always busting arse for more money, looking better in the gym, finding a hotter piece of arse, etc.
I would love to reach a point where I am just happy and grateful for what I have and what I've done.

I wonder if "successful" business people ever really reach that point.

It's not about what you've done, it's about doing it every day until the day you die, and enjoying that fact. When you realize this, you will have reached that point. It's not a milestone, it's a state of mind. I learned this around age 34. Gotta enjoy the ride no matter what.

Always looking for the BBD will not make you a happy or successful person. It will make you stressed and disappointed.
Got past that myself...

No I wouldn't change.
This is the old "grass is always greener" situation.

I'm too selfish for all that marriage stuff. I'll keep traveling around, climbing mountains, and sleeping with women much younger than me until I'm old and lonely. Then I'll probably have a few regrets at that point

No. I like my wife. She likes me We frick like rabbits and hang out all the time. Wouldn't trade that for the world.

I got a buddy who is married. 25 years old. Working on his second kid. His wife wants him to get a vasectomy. Is it rude if I tell him not to do it because what if he gets divorce.

Thanks for not starting anther thread for that question. I would phrase it another way : "you never know what will happen down the line."
