Here is something to be said about getting past the first 7 years. My wife has been a strong contributor to me being the person I am and she says the same thing.

I guess not I got 3 great kids out of my 15 year marriage and now she gets 1/2 my paycheck every 2 weeks.

The only thing I would change is getting my life in order and marrying my wife five years before I did. There's no telling where my life would be today if it were not for her. We have been married for six years come May, a perfect three year old son, and twins on the way. I'm blessed beyond comprehension.

The good outweighs the bad. I'd be a mess (or dead) without my wife and kids. No way I would go back.

Yes, I would marry her again, only sooner. She is a blessing in my life and I would not be the success I am without her love and faith.

25 years in April.

Couldn't believe this when I read it. This is exactly my situation.

I have serious regrets that I would love to change.

My wife and I were close friends and studied together in a group while in college at Auburn.

We did not start dating and then got married until 3rd year of medical school.

I wasted countless hours and time on crazy girls while in college. I wish I had seen who she was when we met at age 19 and started dating her immediately.

She has been the best person for me I could ever imagine. Married for 23 great years.

Marriage is like college. It sucks to be tied down young, but will pay dividends later in life. Trust me, you don't want to start having kids in your 30s. That's too old. The few people I know who either couldn't have kids, or elected not to are some sad individuals.

I wouldnt change a thing. We hit 11 years of marriage this past Nov and I couldnt be happier. The main key to any marriage is communication between BOTH people and having a level head when things do not go the way youd like. My wife and I have had two somewhat major arguments in the time we have been married but thats due to us talking about things before they ever escalate anywhere near an argument. We both could never understand couples who fight constantly. Just seems like a miserable way to have a relationship.

No, even though my wife aggravates the crap out of me most of the time, there is something truly amazing about having that partner in life that knows you inside n out and you grow old with.

Yep. If all these men had been with their wives for at least 5 years prior to marrying them.....sounds like they spent all of their 20s in a relationship. So they never got time to be single as an adult that is out of college and enjoy some independence.

I got married at 24 and don't regret anything

I hope there is some good discussion here. I struggle with the issue myself.

Got married last May and it's been great. Definitely worked in our favor that I'm 31 and my wife is 32. Your friends probably should've waited a few years. Enjoying my 20's was one of the best decisions I ever made. Met the wife 2 months shy of turning 28 and by that point I was ready for it.

Can't rush it...

My first marriage was over in less than 24 months.

Probably why I was so hesitant about pulling the trigger the second time...

Not married but I am at the age that most of my friends are getting married. The trick is to find a woman who truly does supports you in your hobbies and interests. Great buddy I used to ride motorcycles with all the time no longer can "because his wife doesn't allow him". Doesnt ever come fishing anymore even when we invite her with my gf and i. It's truly sad to watch him lose his balls like that and not be able to do something he loves. She truly controls his life now and it's not healthy.
